John Morris Chaisson

John was a beautiful, empathetic man that loved God and daily made an effort to show love to everyone. He was compassionate and a comfort to many. His 46 years were too short. He loved his family. His friends were a valuable asset to his life. We are all better people for knowing him.

John is survived by his life partner Dalton Steele of Atlanta, step father, Fred Peltier of New Iberia, father, Morris Raniel Chaisson of New Iberia, brothers, Steven Chaisson of Shreveport La., Michael Chaisson of Richmond, Ca., Matthew Chaisson of Vallejo, Ca., sisters, Dr. Selena Chaisson of Sausalito, Ca., Theresa Chaisson of New Iberia, La, Crystal Peltier of New Iberia, step-brothers, Fred Peltier Jr. of Baton Rouge, Titus Peltier of New Iberia, step-sister, Angela Peltier of Lake Charles and his favorite buddy, “Rupert”, miniature dachshund.

Memorial Services will be conducted for Mr. John Morris Chaisson Esq, age 46, at 4:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Jefferson Island’s “Rip Van Winkle Gardens” in New Iberia, Louisiana with family, friends and Dr. Mark Ozawa officiating. Reception will follow. Everyone is invited who knew John.

Another memorial service will be held in Atlanta at a location & time yet to be determined.
