Harry Edward Jenkins, Sr. 95, of Atlanta died November 5, 2014. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Jenkins saw action in the South Pacific. He worked for Conklin Tin Plate Company for 28 years and was top salesman. In 1964, Mr. Jenkins started Jenkins Metal Supply Company and the company just celebrated its 50th anniversary. Preceded in death by his wife, Irene walker Jenkins, Mr Jenkins is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Harry E. Jenkins, Jr. and Rosemary; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Jenkins Spier and Tim; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9 at 3pm at Oglethorpe Hill Interment Crestlawn Memorial Park on Monday, November 10 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 until 3 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Brookhaven, Georgia, 30319.
