Gregory Ameden, 44, of Atlanta Georgia, passed away December 3, 2024. Born and raised in rural Vermont, Greg’s early life was filled with the simple pleasures of close-knit family ties, a strong church fellowship, and appreciation of the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. Community service and supporting others were core values established early; these principles guided him throughout his life.
As he grew older, he was keen to see, and later move to, “the city”, drawn by the bright lights, quick pace, delicious food, and diverse mix of people. After graduating Gordon College with a degree in Communications, Greg stayed in the Boston area for a few years to gain experience in finance. When he moved to Atlanta, Greg immersed himself in all things technology. Greg earned his CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) License and excelled at analyzing and identifying ways to build better systems. Greg was on the Forbes Technology Council. He was extremely proud of his work with Hancock-Askew, being elevated to Partner in the firm in 2017. He was a kind and inclusive leader who believed in building up his team. Greg's keen intelligence, adventurous spirit, and big, infectious grin will be deeply missed.
Greg is predeceased by his mother, Kathleen Wenger and his stepfather, P. Oliver Wenger. He is survived by his father, Bradford Ameden (Meredith Larson); and sister, SarahJoy Chaples (Michael Farrington), in addition to many other relatives and close friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, a cause Greg cared deeply about. https://donate.cancer.org
