Glynette Vandergriff Russell

Glynette Vandergriff Russell, of Woodstock, passed on to heaven at her home on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at her home. Born in Woodbury, Tennessee to Effie Helen (Bogle) and Robert Lytle Vandergriff, Ms. Russell moved to Atlanta, Georgia and later to Woodstock. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Vandergriff, Gene Vandergriff, and Darrell Dement; and sister, Wanda Vandergriff. Survivors include her daughter, Carol S. Russell of Woodstock; a nephew, John Crespenel; a niece, Mistye Garrett; cousins, John William Bogle, Inez Cain, Margurette Sitze, Ruth Rahleder, Dinah House, Waldene Price, Ronnie Vandygrift, Connie Glenn, and Jim Vandergrift; and other loving family and friends. She attended and was married in the Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. She was a faithful Christian and a loving and devoted mother who loved children. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 5 o’clock at Patterson’s Spring Hill. The family will receive friends from 2 until 6 o’clock the day of the service. A private interment will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
