Eileen Mary Waystack Simms

Eileen Mary Simms, 55, passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2012, at her home in Marietta. She was pronounced dead at 12:59AM the next day. She was born in Falls Church, VA, August 6, 1956, the daughter of the late Jerome A. Waystack and Kathryn Chamoun Waystack. After moving to Atlanta, She graduated from St. Pius X High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems at Georgia State University. She worked with the Cobb County School District. She enjoyed raising Arabian Horses and was very active as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 750. Eileen was a member of GA Native Plant Society, Marietta Gardeners Club, American Hydrangea Society and American Horticultural Society, and Cobb County Daylilly Society. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Webb and Karen Nelson. She is survived by her loving sons, Shawn Simms of Savannah, GA and Colin Simms of Atlanta, GA, sister Kathy Kunz of Cumming, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Cynthia Waystack of Orangeburg, SC and brother, Frank Chavis Waystack of Atlanta, GA. Eileen was battling Sjorgen’s before her death. A memorial service will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319, on Saturday, May 19th at 12 pm with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
