Edward J. O’Reilly passed away on August 13th at the age of eighty-nine years and one day. He attended Regis High School in New York City, served in the U.S. Navy aboard a PT boat during World War II and graduated from Fordham University with the help of the GI Bill. Ed is survived by Mary, his wife of sixty-seven years. He had three sons, Edward of Portage, Michigan, Kenneth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and John (deceased). Daughters Mary Ann of Buckhead and Jeanne of Duluth; grandchildren Eamon of Carlsbad, California, Teddy of Los Angeles, Sam of Milwaukee, Michael of Marietta, Patrick of Portage, and Katie of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scott of Atlanta, Lauren of San Francisco, and Cade, Neeve and Chase of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and great-grandchildren Ollie and Brigid of Carlsbad, James and Bobby of Los Angeles and Vali of Marietta. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 17th at 10:30am at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15th from 6-8pm at H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319.
