Chris was born in Atlanta to Ned and Ruth Kemlein on April 27, 1960. He grew up in Tucker and went to school at Henderson High School. He then attended Auburn University and spent 30 years building his career in the residential construction industry. He married Sheila Holdbrooks on April 16, 1993 in Walhalla, SC.
Chris had many titles in his life but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, Rachel and Zac, and supporting them in their every endeavor.
Chris is survived by his wife Sheila H. Kemlein, his daughter Rachel K. Gerl (Joseph), his son Zac H. Kemlein, his sister Peggy K. Morehouse (Neal Kaplan), and nephews Brandt Morehouse (Lily) and Chris Morehouse (Lindsay).
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at H.M. Patterson Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at H.M. Patterson Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with Dr. Janice Hume, family friend, officiating.
