Mr. Campbell, affectionately known as “Boo”, was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Campbell and brother Patrick. He was a native Atlantan, born and raised in West End and attended Southwest High School where he played football and was State Pole Vault Champion. He began a career as a pilot in his early 20’s, flying with multiple companies until 1969 when he began his 45+ year career with Rollins, Inc. as their Chief Pilot and Director of Aviation. A proud Eagle Scout and US Marine, he lived his personal and professional life by the motto, “Always Be Prepared.” This served him well and he was a mentor to many young pilots over the years. As a corporate pilot, he attended Flight Safety for 46 years and was the first recipient of their Master Aviator Certification in 2016. His hobby was golfing and he played with a true love of the game especially at his beloved club in Highlands, NC. He also enjoyed his “lunch bunch,” alias “The Geezers.” He leaves behind the two loves of his life, his wife of 42 years, Anne and his daughter, Jennifer. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6 at 11am at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305.
