Charles Edward Bagley, Jr., 58, of Atlanta died suddenly of natural causes on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on October 12, 1957 in Waycross, Georgia. Charles grew up in south Georgia and graduated from Bacon County High School. He attended South Georgia College, then earned a B.S. in Biology from Mercer University-Atlanta, as well as a J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon. After an early career as a prosecutor and attorney in private practice, starting in 2007, Charles used his counseling skills as a Realtor in Decatur and Atlanta, most recently with Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown. He enjoyed community service with the board of the Howell Station Neighborhood Association, the Henry W. Grady High School Debate Team Boosters, the Decatur Beach Party planning team, and the Posse Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Leslie Bagley of Atlanta; son, William Cole Bagley of Dallas, Texas; parents, Dr. Charles and Christine Bagley, sister, Melissa Bagley Brown, and brother, Winston Bagley, in Alma, Georgia; father- and mother-in-law, brothers- and sisters-in-law; eight nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends; and a wonderful group of eight Posse “daughters” at Agnes Scott College.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00am at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.
