Mr. Charles Azar Sandy Springs, Ga. June 1, 2952 – April 3, 2016 Charles passed away quietly at his home with his wife Cindy by his side. He graduated from Marist High School in 1970 & received a bachelor’s of Business Administration from West Georgia College in 1974. Upon graduation Charles joined his father in the family owned business at Azar’s Furniture restoration which was recognized as a prominent restorer of antiques and furniture of historical significance. Charles was a lifelong resident of Sandy Springs, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Cornelia (Najjar) Azar, brothers Carl Azar, Jr., James Azar & sister Nancy Azar Sullivan (Joe Sullivan) . He is survived by his wife of 30 years Cindy W. Azar, many nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Chrysostom Melkite Church, St. Joseph Maranite Church or Catholic Church of St. Ann. Family will receive visitors at HM Patterson Oglethorpe Funeral Home Wednesday, April 6, 2016 6:00 pm – 7:00, with a Melkite Trisaghion Service – Rosary following at 7 PM. Funeral, Thursday, April 7, 2016 10:00 am at St. John Chrysostom Melkite Church. Interment following at Arlington Cemetery.
