Mrs. Sewell passed away on Friday, May 25 from breast cancer. She was 85. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and relocated to Dunwoody, Georgia in 1966. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Kopp and son-in-law Robert Kopp of Lilburn, Georgia and Margaret Fulcher of Killeen, Texas and three grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas, Bradley Fulcher and Mya Fulcher. She is also survived by her beloved cousin, Alex Anderson of Kingsport, Tennessee, whom she thought of as a brother, and his wife Edwina as well as her sister-in-law Emily Hale and niece Sally Hale. She was predeceased by her husband, Preston Sewell. A lifelong volunteer, Mrs. Sewell most recently enjoyed working with Angel Flight of Georgia. She also volunteered many years at Shallowford Elementary in Dunwoody. Mrs. Sewell was an avid reader, great cook, and decorator. During her illness she never lost her enthusiasm for life and sense of humor. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 30th at 2 o’clock at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319.
