Carol Taylor Clifton, 82, of Newnan passed away on June 19, 2024 in Decatur, Georgia. Carol was born in Forsyth, Georgia to Judson and Wallace Taylor. She went to school in Newnan, Georgia. She married John Clifton on December 7, 1962. She worked as an administrative assistant at the C.D.C. until she retired. She loved reading, gardening, trivia, and had a great sense of humor.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John Sr, her parents, and her older brother, Jud.
Carol is survived by her son John Jr, son in law David Mays, younger brother Don Taylor, and nephews Mark Taylor, Jamie Taylor, and Jason Taylor.
There will be no visitation service. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Carol’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of the Holbrook in Decatur for their loving care.
