Calvin Randolph Allen

Mr. Allen was born in Atlanta, Georgia and was the son of Scott W. and Isabel M. Allen. He attended Marist High School and was a graduate of the University of Virginia and a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a veteran of World War II.

Although he grew up and raised his family in Atlanta, he had a great love for the warm weather of Florida and retired to John's Island, Vero Beach, Florida after selling his manufacturing business.

Mr. Allen was a member of the Peachtree Golf Club, Capital City Club, and the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a member of John's Island Club and Windsor Club in Vero Beach, Florida.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Millicent W. Allen, and his two children, Anne Allen Cheatham of Center Valley, California and Calvin R. Allen, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. He was father to Walter E. DuPre, Norman B. DuPre, and Susan DuPre Midis of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. John R. DuPre of Griffin, Georgia, and Marie DuPre Masterson of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild in Atlanta, Griffin, Raleigh, Encinitas, and Nashville.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 until 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill on Tuesday, November 12th. Graveside services at 12 o'clock, Wednesday, November 13th, Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia, Reverend Alfred Sawyer officiating.

A memorial service will be held on a date to be determined at Trinity Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County or the charity of your choice.
