Barbara McConnell, 82, died November 4 , 2013.The family will receive friends at 11:OO a.m. on Wednesday at Wieuca Road Baptist Church. Her funeral will be held at 12 noon in the sanctuary of the church. Born in Whites Creek, TN. Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob McConnell. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Johnson of South Carolina; three children: Patti M. Rickman (Tim) of High Point, NC; Rob McConnell (Maria ) of Atlanta, GA; Jane M. Boyd (Gary)of Ashville, AL, and 16 grandchildren. Barbara had a passion for serving others through volunteer work and was a faithful worker and supporter of the Fledgling Foundation and Buckhead Ministries for many years. Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family, and worked tirelessly to make sure every guest in her home felt like family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
