He is survived by sisters, Louise Finch of Greenville, South Carolina and Alpha Holder of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and many special nieces and nephews. Archie was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he attended public school. He graduated from Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) with a B. A. in Biblical Education, Columbia Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. He served pastorates in North Carolina and South Carolina, 25 years in South Florida in Miami and Hollywood. Locally, he pastored Eastminster Presbyterian Church in East Cobb and North Avenue Presbyterian Church, as minister of pastoral care. His daily life of gentle kindness to everyone gave authenticity to the words he preached.
