Alice Pittman

Alice Welch Pittman, Age 83, of Brookhaven, passed away Sunday May 21 following a brief illness. She was a great lady, a loving mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and a wonderful friend. Alice was born in Eatonton Georgia and had lived in the Brookhaven area since 1959, where she retired following careers with General Electric and Weight Watchers. She was a member of the Brookhaven United Methodist Church, an avid gardener and loved to play Bingo and take trips with her many friends in the community. Alice is survived by her son and daughter in-law Wesley & Suzy Pittman, sister Grace Bishop, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and great friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by parents Fletcher & Inez Moon Welch, sisters Jewel Alford, Vernezia Jones, Priscilla Farmer, and brother Leon Welch. A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday May 26 at 10:00 AM at the H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, Brookhaven, GA 30319. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alice’s memory to Senior Connections, 5238 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA. 30341.
