A native of Angola, IN, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Thomas Marion Gillspie and Winona Virginia Beard Gillispie. She was a Christian who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with her family, especially her great-grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Martin; and sons: Michael Martin and Jerry Martin.
Survivors include son, Bobby Martin; daughter, Theresa Martin; grandson, Bobby Hunter Martin (Taylor); and great-grandsons: Chase Martin and Michael Martin; sisters: Carol Banks and Linda Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 9, at 2:00 p.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dave Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Winterville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
