A native of Athens, Mr. Sheridan the son of the late Sandy Lee and Annie Hooper Sheridan. He was raised in Jackson and Elbert counties and had been a resident of Bogart since the 1960s. A United States Navy veteran, he was a retired mechanic with Reliance Electric, a member of Bogart Baptist Church and a former member of the Bogart City Council. Mr. Sheridan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Harris Sheridan; and eight siblings.
Survivors include daughter, Kim Thomas of Bogart; son, Rodney Sheridan (Diddie) of Clearwater, FL; sisters: Nancy Jordan (Wally) of Bogart and Martha Lee of Elberton; grandchildren: Ethan Thomas and Emory Thomas, both of Appling, GA and Hannah Crevier (Kurt) of Clearwater, FL; and great-grandchildren: Devin and Dessa.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, April 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in Bernstein Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be held privately in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
