Silas Marion Robertson, III (Rob, Robby, Uncle Rob) passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2023. He was the son of the late Silas Marion Robertson, Jr., and Pamelia Harwell Robertson. He was born and raised in Signal Mountain, TN, where he experienced a wonderful childhood.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee and spent his entire career with DuPont Industries (Invista/Koch). Most of those years were spent in Athens, GA, where he made many special, life-long friends. For years, he hosted legendary football tailgates at Café Rob for family and friends. He always pulled for the Georgia Bulldogs unless they were playing his beloved Tennessee Vols. Rob truly was one of a kind, with an extraordinary love and zest for people and life. He loved well and was well-loved.
Left to treasure his memory are his siblings, Pam (Dennis) Moses, Del (Tommy) Francescon, and Ken (Annie) Robertson. He took great joy in spoiling his nieces and nephews, as well as his great nieces and nephews: Lara and Scott Whitaker (Cade), Brandon Moses, Matt and Laurel Moses (Mattie Bea, Henry, Eleanor & Fletcher), Josh and Andrea Moses (Caleb & Maggie), Justin and Emily Moses (Asher & Levi), Zach and Shelley Moses (Rosie & William), T. W. and Laurel Francescon (Thomas, Noah & Bella), Adam Francescon, and Sarah Downs (Carter).
