Shauna was raised in Hull, Georgia, graduated from Madison County High School and earned an associate degree from Athens Tech. She worked for Darrel Begnaud as a legal assistant for many years and recently joined the team of Burton and Burton, where she worked until her death.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Athens and served as the church’s assistant youth director. She loved her Lord, family, and friends. She also enjoyed traveling with her family at every opportunity.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Smith of Athens; her three loving children, Josh Brown, Nicholas Smith and Katherine Smith all of Athens; parents, Wayne and Brenda Voyles of Hull; brother, Jason Voyles of Hull; sister, Melissa Peery and her husband Ed of Suwanee; nieces, Carly Cleveland and her husband John of Toccoa; Hannah Muller of Gainesville; nephews, Matthew Peery and Andrew Peery both of Suwanee; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome visitors for a celebration of life at Central Baptist Church in Athens on Sunday, January 15, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM The service will be at 3:00 PM with the Rev George R Crimmins III, Pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Winterville City Cemetery.
