Born in Athens, Georgia on May 4, 1924, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald W. Sutton. A former resident of West Memphis, Arkansas, Mrs. Sutton was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Memphis, the John Mac Smith Sunday School class, the Elizabeth Grubb Circle, and was an Orpheum Theatre volunteer for 11 years. She enjoyed her many Bridge clubs. Mrs. Sutton was an avid golfer and had a “hole in one” on October 31, 1986.
Survivors include nephews, Michael and Kay Allen of Gainesville, Georgia, Keith and Edie Allen of Bonaire, Georgia, Ed McCurley of Athens, Georgia and niece, Gwynne and Ted Simmons of California; other relatives, Bethany and Matt Spickard, Hillary and B.J. Neff, Brittany Allen and Zachary Allen, Aaron Simmons, Shawn and Heather Simmons and Ryan and Shannon Simmons.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 6 from 1-1:45 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park.
