Sara Kahan

A native of Fulton County, GA, Mrs. Kahan was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy Perkins Maloney and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gerald Kahan. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in English from Tift College and earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Drama and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Kahan was a lifelong educator in the field of English and Drama at numerous colleges and institutions in the Athens area. She was recently retired from Eaton Academy in Roswell, GA.

Survivors include daughters, Deirdre Murray and husband, William Timothy of Athens, GA and Megan Reuter and husband, Michael of Bishop, GA; beloved nephew, Gregory Scott Bishop of Alpharetta, GA, and grandchildren, Jacob Reuter, Hannah Reuter, Catherine Reuter, Mary Reuter, Isabel Reuter, and Claire Reuter.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
