While Richard stayed on the go, his heart just couldn’t keep up. He was the kind of man that would never let anything keep him down, no matter how hard life got. He would help everyone who crossed his path, and never asked for anything in return. He was hardworking and always did everything 100%. If you knew anything about Richard, you know he loved his Georgia Bulldawgs. Every Saturday, you’d find him glued to the TV cheering on the Bulldawgs to win.
He was a man of many talents. His earliest job was roofing, taught by none other than his father, Jerry McCune. Richard did roofing on and off throughout his whole life with his younger brother, Curtis McCune at his side. He became an alarm technician, shortly after getting married to ex-wife Patti Calhoun. Later on in his life, he became a certified semi-truck operator.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Melson. Richard leaves behind his ex-wife, Patti Calhoun, oldest son, Michael McCune and Michael’s girlfriend, Elizabeth Shugart, middle son, Russell McCune, youngest son, Justin McCune, brother, Curtis McCune and father, Jerry McCune.
