A native of Athens, GA, Mrs. Moody was the daughter of the late H. Cobb Hunter and Florie Hale Hunter and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard G. Moody Jr and sister, Ann Hunter Dunn. She was a retired sales clerk with Macy’s and a member of Athens First Christian Church.
Survivors include her sons, James H. Griggs and wife, Mary of Athens and Leonard G. Moody III and wife, Judy of Suwanee, GA; brother, Howell “Sonny” Hunter of Lexington, GA; granddaughters, April G Smith and Michelle McShane; great-grandchildren, Cassie McShane, Andrew McShane, and Jillian Smith, niece, Cathy Burkett and husband, Joe of Athens, and nephew, Ricky Dunn and wife, Carol of Athens.
Graveside services will be held 11AM Saturday, January 21st at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating.
