He was born in Athens, Georgia on Sep 4, 1955 to Ellis Crow and Elsie Langford Williams. Marshall graduated from Cedar Shoals High School in 1973, and received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business in 1978. He is married to Yolanda (Lonnie) Tuttle-Williams and they had been together for ten years.
Marshall was a drummer in both Cedar Shoals High and UGA marching bands. He taught computer graphics for Microsoft in their Phoenix training facility, and graduated from Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York.
After spending thirty plus years in the reprographics industry, selling large format architectural and engineering paper and supplies, he had recently accepted the frozen food manager position at Kroger on Alps Rd in Athens.
He was an accomplished musician and photographer, and loved working outdoors, spending time with his wife and cats, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Lonnie Tuttle-Williams of Athens, GA; his son, Marshall Williams Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA; his daughter Paula Barnes and her husband Eddie of North Carolina; his grandchildren Kyla and Zion Barnes; his uncle and aunt, Art and Nancy Langford of Suwanee, GA; his aunt, Beverly Langford of Lawrenceville, GA; and his cousins: Cindy and Armand Glassman of Atlanta, GA, Jay Langford of Florida, Jeff Langford of Florida, and Jack Langford of Florida; and stepmother Newell Williams, of Athens, GA.
A celebration of Marshall’s life will be held 4-6PM Sunday, October 28th at Loco’s Eastside location.
