Linda Marie Henson Landry, 66, of Athens, Georgia, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Marie Landry; her granddaughter, Julianne Marie Snickles; and her sister, Barbara Henson Kramer, of Attleboro, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayman Henson and Barbara Marie Curry Henson, her husband, Dick Landry, and her infant son, Richard Travis Landry. Born in Quincy and raised in Braintree, Massachusetts, Linda served as a VISTA volunteer for two years. She was a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s degree from University of Georgia, and worked as a psychotherapist for twenty years. Linda enjoyed travel, reading, and playing games on and off the computer. She loved and was loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens on Sunday October 19 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (oif.org).
