John Daniel Weatherly

A native of Jackson County, GA, Mr. Weatherly was the son of the late John S. Weatherly and Georgia Daniel Weatherly and was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mayrell Jones Weatherly, second wife, Grace Smith Weatherly, and late wife, Gwyn Barnett Weatherly; daughter, Linda Ramirez; son, John Grady Weatherly; brother, Owen Weatherly, and sisters, Elizabeth W. Holton and Mary Payne. He was a retired insurance agent, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include son, David M. Weatherly of St. Augustine, FL; daughters, Rita Laschober and husband, Richard of Augusta, GA and Debra Weatherly Whitfield and husband, Dennis of Atlanta, GA,; son-in-law, Joe Ramirez; sister, Ann W. Michael and husband, Grady of Gainesville, GA; two grandchildren, Kelly Laschober and Teresa Robertson, and long-time special friend, Cortell S. Williams of Jefferson, GA .

Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, June 12th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Shelton officiating and remarks by Bill Weatherly, John Mobley, and Ron Calhoun. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30PM Wednesday, June 11th at the funeral home.
