Born in Toms River, NJ, he was a son of Maurice Devane Davenport and Gloria Wellman Davenport. John attended Shamrock High School and was a 1987 graduate of the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Phi Tau fraternity. John enjoyed UGA football tailgates, the beach, fishing, boating on Lake Lanier and time with his family. He owned and operated Target Legal Marketing alongside his wife. John is a devoted husband, father to Dylan (19), and a loyal friend. His laid back style, true to himself nature, and courageous spirit made him one of a kind and touched many lives.
Survivors include wife, Stacey White Davenport; son, Dylan Tyler Davenport; brother, Edward Davenport; and sister, Donna Davenport; father, Maurice Davenport; mother, Gloria Davenport.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
