Jeremiah James Mount, 95, of Hull, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.
A native of Oxford Junction, IA, Mr. Mount was a son of the late Robert Mount and Lucile Mullvihill Mount. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, flying off the USS Core as the sonar, radio and electronics operator. Mr. Mount worked as an Expeditor for International Harvester in East Moline, IL. He was a member of the American Legion, the Athens Amateur Radio Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Rose Mount of Hull; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 25 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Moreau officiating. A reception will follow the mass. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
