James Roy Seagraves, Jr.

JAMES ROY SEAGRAVES JR., 71, of Hull entered his Heavenly home on January 24, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Seagraves was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was a well-known Athens service station operator and had many friends in the Athens area.

He was the son of the late J. Roy and Dessie Mae Seagraves. Mr. Seagraves was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Athens. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, three children, Keith (Claire) Seagraves , Kevin (Terrie) Seagraves , Kim (Steve) Westmoreland.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ethan Seagraves, Emily Seagraves, Kara Cruse, Jared Cruse; siblings Hershelene Vickery, Betty Smith, Trudy Evans, Val Tyner, Linda Bourne and one brother Larry Seagraves and mother- in- law, Mrs. Ouida Phillips. Mr. Seagraves was preceded in death by one brother Halford Seagraves.

Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Jennings Mill Rd., Athens, Monday January 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday January 26, 2014 from 6 – 9 pm at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens, Ga.. Burial will be at Bluestone Baptist Church cemetery in Danielsville Ga.
