A native of Oconee County, GA, Mr. Pritchett was the son of the late George Wesley Pritchett and Minnie Barton Pritchett and was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Peggy Pritchett. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and served in South Pacific Theater. Mr. Pritchett was the last surviving member of the Oconee River Boys and was a lifetime member of the Classic Squares in Athens, GA.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Burt, Debbie Anderson and her husband, Ron, and Amy Pritchett Jones; sons, Tony Pritchett and his wife, Donna and Tim Pritchett and his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Joel Burt and wife, Vicky, Bonnie Jolley and husband, Bobby, Kirsten Jones, Max Anderson, and Susanna Pritchett; great-grandchildren, Sarah Burt, Mason Burt, Burt Jolley, Gabrielle Kelley, and Andrew Jolley, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, April 13th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Pritchett and L. Milton Leathers III officiating. Interment will follow at Huff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9PM Thursday, April 12th at Bernstein.
