A native of Cleveland, GA, Mr. Hudgins was the son of the late Ralph Newton Hudgins and Mary Magdalene White Hudgins and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Laskowski Hudgins. He was a retired owner of Classic Electrical Contractors, Inc. Mr. Hudgins was a member of the Athens Elk Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Marie McCord of Bogart, Patricia Ann Simpson of Athens, Katherine Mary Gruler and husband, Bob of Show Low, AZ, and Constance Suzanne Stewart and husband, Scott of Athens; son, James Larrie Hudgins Jr of Anaheim; brother, David Hudgins of Oxford, GA; sisters, Ann Boy of Steinhatchee, FL and Marsha Kersey Meadow of McAlpine,FL; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews; as well as his faithful, loving companion, Judy Ferguson; and a countless number of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday, August 17th at Bernstein Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 3PM Saturday, August 18th in the chapel at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Elks Aidmore Children’s Home, 2394 Morrison Rd, Conyers, GA 30094.
