Jack Rowland passed away peacefully in his sleep March 22nd. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeffie, daughters - Mary Herring, Nancy Sain, Alice Rowland, son-in-laws - Steve Herring, Gene Sain, and Bill Davis, and grandson Chris Herring. He was the youngest son of Hampton and Mary Lamb Rowland.
Jack was in the army during WW II. He enjoyed a long career in the agricultural chemical business with Athens Ag. Chemical and Rowland Chemical. He was a member of the Athens Rotary club, the First Presbyterian Church, and a Mason. He enjoyed a lifelong love of horsemanship, including memberships at the Belle Meade Hunt and Shakerag Hunt.
Services will be held 2PM Saturday, March 28th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oconee Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
