A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late James Busbin and Lois Stewart Busbin. She was a homemaker and a member of East Athens Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Wilder Martin and son, Eddie Martin.
Survivors include children, Linda Dickson of Athens, Rita Smallwood (Steve) of Danielsville and Jerry Martin (Patricia) of Commerce; sister, Betty Jean Milligan of Athens; 14 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Campbell officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., prior to the service.
