A native of Hall County, GA, Mr. Crowe was the son of the late David E. Crowe and Nezzie Ivie Crowe and was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Crowe and James C. Crowe. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1961. Mr. Crowe was a licensed embalmer and funeral director for over 40 years Madison. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Madison Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Grace Crowe of Madison; sons, Gary Crowe and wife, Katherine of Dallas, GA and Keith Crowe and wife, Amanda of Mansfield, GA; sister-in-law, Faye H. Campbell of Austel, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Crowe and Michael Crowe, and bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Danielle Minnick, Lex Hoffman, K.C. Hoffman, Steve Minnick, Jr, Jordan Minnick, Nina and Daniel West, Jameson West, Katlyn Maxey, Brandon Maxey, Elliott Maxey, and Sam Maxey.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, October 4th in the chapel at A.E. Carter Funeral Home with Rev. David Shytle and Dr. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Madison City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday, October 3rd at A.E. Carter.
Pallbearers will be Michael Crowe, Frank Nesbitt, Ralph Crowe, III, Roy Worley, Jr, George Beckham, and Tom Mroczko.
Ralph Crowe, Jr, Bob Nesbitt and Gerald Wood will serve as honorary pallbearers.
