She was born in Sparta, Tennessee to the late James and Guyline Swindler and graduated White County High School. Elizabeth lived for many years in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before moving to Athens 10 years ago. She enjoyed interior design and was an avid collector of fine antiques.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lynch.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Goff of Athens; daughter, Stephanie Bankston and her husband, Jeff of Hull; grandchildren, Taylor Hart and his wife, Hollie of Milledgeville; Christina Chandler and her husband, Colby of Colbert; Todd Bennett and Tyler Bennett; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Harris Hart and Greyson Chandler.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00 to 1:30 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Bernstein Funeral Home, followed by a 2:00 PM graveside service in Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum.
