Edward Charles Epps

Born in Athens, Mr. Epps was a son of the late G.B. Epps Sr. and Sara Williams Epps. He worked as a traveling sales representative for Sam’s Club and was an avid fisherman, enjoyed thrift store shopping, loved his pets, had a green thumb and could grow anything. Mr. Epps especially loved his family and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Jefferson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: David Epps and Joseph Epps.

Survivors include wife, Brenda Damron Epps; children: Emily Snelling (James) and Justin Epps (Trisha Barnes); brothers: Lawrence Epps, G.B. Epps and Jimmy Self; sisters: Louise Minish and Susan Carol Glenn; and grandchildren: Jackson Snelling and Luke Epps.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brent Gilstrap officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
