Born in Charlotte, N.C., she was raised in Newark, N.J. and lived most of her adult life in New Jersey before relocating to Athens with her late husband, James Raymond Robertson, in 2011. She is survived by her son, Timothy A. Cody; and daughters, Crystle D. Cody and Tiffany J. Cody. She also leaves behind two loving grandchildren, Tyriq Long and Lillian Cody; siblings, Gregory Herron, Melvina Herron, Brenda Roberts; in-laws, Dave Robertson, Cynthia Williams, and Michelle Roberts; beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Beech Haven Baptist Church, 2390 West Broad Street, Athens.
