Don Don Saye

A native of Clarke County, he was the son of the late Ralph Milton and Belle Barrett Saye and was also preceded in death by brothers Ralph Saye, Jr. and Harry Saye and sister Carolyn Jackson. Mr. Saye was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of The Gideon’s International and the Madison County Rotary Club. He had served as the Chairman of the Madison County Republican Party, was former director of the Men’s Ministry of the Serepta Association, attended the YMCA Men’s Bible Study and was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Saye of Hull, son Rusty Saye and wife Ashley of Braselton, daughter Hallie Keneda and husband Steven of Braselton, brother Ed Saye of Gainesville, sisters Naomi Wolfe of Alpharetta and Bess Schillinger of Athens, grandchildren, Jacksyn Saye and Cassidy Saye, and his wife’s daughter Allison Minish Beaudoin and husband Lt. Col. Gregory Beaudoin of Ft. Campbell, KY and grandson Butler Beaudoin.

Funeral services will be 4pm Tuesday, May 29th at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Ricketts and Rev. Larry Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends Monday May 28th from 6-8pm at Bernstein.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Gideon’s International and the Y’s Men Bible Study Group.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Madison County Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 238, Hull, Georgia 30646.
