He was born on July 18, 1931 in Athens to the late Clyde Dulaney, Sr. and Annie Laura Edwards Dulaney. Clyde retired in 1993 from Coca-Cola in Athens having worked there for 45 years. Upon his retirement from Coca-Cola, he began working for Volvo of Athens for 20 years and retired in 2018 at the age of 87.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Brooks and two sisters, Virginia Dulaney and Margaret Garrison.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rosemary Dulaney; two sons, Fred Dulaney (Susan) and Daniel Dulaney; stepson, Chris Baxter (Virginia); six grandchildren, Max Brooks, Reid Brooks, Jason Brooks (Ann), Tori Davis, Stephanie Dulaney and Kylie Stewart (Austin); and nine great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends for Clyde will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Highway, Athens, Georgia 30606. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park, 3655 Atlanta Highway, Athens, Georgia 30606.
