Charles Guy Bowden Jr., 64, of Athens, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022.
Born in Athens, Mr. Bowden was the son of the late Charles Guy Bowden Sr. and Betty Jo Venable Bowden. He worked in maintenance for the University of Georgia and previously in construction.
Survivors include children: Angie Buffington (Brian) of Bishop, Charles Bowden III (Kellyn) of Watkinsville and Katie Bowden of Athens; sisters: Debbie Lisano of Alabama and Diana Cole (Jim) of Jefferson; and grandchildren: Jacob Buffington, Avery Buffington, Megan Buffington, Jaina Buffington, Alex Bowden, Cole Bowden, Nora Bowden, Briggs Bowden and Bella Vaughn.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel.
