Mrs. Green was born in Emrick, North Dakota, to Norwegian immigrants Even Zimmerman and Emilie Hellenes. She attended a one-room schoolhouse. She served in the United States Army-WAC as a cryptographer and spent her career as a bookkeeper for her husband’s automotive dealerships.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Joseph Green; and her three brothers, Earl, Helmer, and Alf.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Stiles, and husband, Todd, of Bogart; and grandchildren, Kenny and Ariana.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3 at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Interment will take place at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
