Audrey Millstead Cheek

Audrey was born in Houston, Texas to the late George R. Millstead and Dorothy Meeks Millstead. Audrey moved to Athens, when she was six years old and graduated from Cedar Shoals High School. She went on to attend the University of Geogia and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Audrey worked as a nurse with St. Mary's Hospital for over 30 years and was a member of Athens First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Millstead and her son, Daniel Cheek.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 45 years, Danny Cheek of Athens; son, Patrick Cheek of Athens; grandchildren, Ila Cheek and Canning Cheek, both of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Bailey Cheek of Atlanta; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service for Audrey will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Jackson Memorial Park, 6825 Jefferson Rd., Commerce, GA 30529, with Reverend Larry Brown officiating.
