A lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Foster Turnbull and Selma Blackwell Turnbull and was also preceded in death by her husband Toombs (Toon) Powell Veale. Mrs. Veale was also preceded in death by two brothers James F. Turnbull and Thomas Turnbull. She was a graduate of Athens Business College, a homemaker and member of the Ashford Memorial Methodist Church. Ann loved life especially her children and beloved granddaughter. She was always there to help any animal in need. In honor of her memory and instead of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Oconee County Animal Shelter, 1171 Branch Road, Bishop, Georgia 30621.
