She was born on September 3, 1936 in Rome, Georgia to Margaret Shaw Marshall and Richard Coke Marshall V. She was blessed to be born into a Christian family and was surrounded by their love all of her life. She graduated from Americus High School, Americus, Georgia in 1954, from Shorter University, Rome, Georgia in 1958, and from Emory Healthcare School of Medical Technology, Atlanta, Georgia in 1959.
Following her professional training she passed the American Society of Clinical Pathologist exam and earned classification as a MT(ASCP). She was employed by Emory Hospital until her marriage in 1960 and later by St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, Georgia for 28 years prior to retirement.
She is survived by her son, Steven K. Perry, his wife, Angel Perry, and her grandchildren, Heather, her husband, Nathan, and Jackson.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 30, at 1:00 p.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.
