Mrs. Qualls attended Friendship Methodist Church. She enjoyed a long career as a nurse, and was the founder of Limestone County Home Health, that ended up with 360 employees, with her being the only one upon start up.
She was Miss Athens High School; Class President all 4 years of high school; and she was voted by her classmates as Most Beautiful Softmore, and Most Beautiful Senior.
Her husband, Daryle, was a coach at Athens High School for 25 years; for 5 years at Scottsboro High School; and a member of the Limestone County Sports Hall of Fame, Huntsville Madison County Sports Hall of Fame, and National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Sue played a huge part in seeing him through this journey, and many folks do not know the endless work that a Coach’s wife endures. Daryle wants everyone to know how hard she worked for those kids.
