Melva Dean Carter was born June 23, 1937 in Limestone County, AL to Delmer Odie Carter and Mamie Douglas Pettie Carter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Jesse Carter, Delmer Carter, and Charles Carter, one sister Frances Stevens.
Survivors include three sisters Dorothy Carter, Douglas Laxson, and Mary Jane Pointer, several nieces and nephews and lots of great nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. Ms. Carter was a Secretary at Hunter Electric Service in Huntsville for 34 years. Ms. Carter had no children, but raised a lot of children, great nieces and nephews. She loved and enjoyed spending time with all children.
Visitation will be from 12-1 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at McConnell Funeral Home. Followed by a Memorial Service at 1 P.M. with Brother Jimmy Clark officiating at McConnell Memorial Chapel.
