The Funeral Service for Mason Ward Freeman, 89, of Athens, will be Thursday October 4, 2018 at 11 A.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Brother Edward Gooch and Brother Tony Jones officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday October 4, 2018 from 9:45-10:45 A.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Freeman passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1929 in Limestone County, AL; to Mason C. Freeman and Frances Elizabeth Holland Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a member of Isom’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at the Postal Service in Athens. Mr. Freeman loved the farming life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Freeman was survived by two brothers Horace H. Freeman and wife Dolores; and Don W. Freeman and wife Lois, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
