Mary was born June 8, 1942 in Tennessee, and was lovingly raised by her parents, Nick Newkirk and Christine Jewell Newkirk. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as one daughter, Scarlett Ann Beasley.
While an avid reader who enjoyed puzzles and crosswords, Mary enjoyed her family most of all.
She is survived by her husband D. Glenn Beasley, to whom she was married a wonderful 57 years; two daughters: Jennifer Hollis and husband Jim, and Stephanie Carden and husband Jay; six grandchildren: Chelsea Hollis, Megan Robinson, Alex Kapparos, Katie Lovell, Lindsey Pereira, and Justin Kapparos; and three great-grandchildren: August Pereira, C.J. Lovell, and Jack Pereira.
Visitation will be held at McConnell Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and will be followed by a graveside gathering at Thatch-Mann Cemetery.
