Pam and I were in the John Wade Keyes DAR together. She helped me prove two of my patriot ancestors. I had a difficult time trying to figure out the path to find my lineage and Pam was so helpful and positive through the whole process. She liked my husband who became a little jealous that I was finding patriots with Pam’s help and after he brought her a fruit basket on my behalf one day, she offered to assist him in finding his patriot. He was able to join the SAR because of her help. She said he was interesting because he was the most German American she had ever known. She was fun and intelligent and always a helper. I consider her a dear sweet friend. I am so glad I knew Pam. 

My most treasured memory of Pam is being in high school with her. I came from Johnson to 10th grade there and I remember  her making me feel accepted. Everyone  liked and her and I found out why really quickly.  A friend forever.

I worked with Pam at the License Commissioner's Office. When I was pregnant with my son, who is now 22, one employee played Elvis Christmas music the entire month of December.  I would complain that I was so tired of hearing Elvis. :) When I gave birth on January 8th, I called the office to tell them our wonderful news and Pam says, "Kim, do you realize that you gave birth on Elvis' birthday?" She laughed and laughed. I think of her every time his birthday comes around. Pam was such a precious lady! She will be missed!

I started work at the phone company with Pam. We trained together. She was a special lady and I know you will miss her. 

Where do I start it seems a lifetime knowing Pam, Danny and Nicki. All the memories have been flooding in my mind this last week. Florida trips, motorcycle rides, ball games in Montgomery, that ball game in Trinity, 4th July cookouts, four wheeling, and so many more. Pam would give you the coat off her back she was the most caring person I knew. She was my friend. I’ll miss her.

When I think about Aunt Pam, I think about Mississippi mud cake, hay bales, apple trees, driveways, sweet tea, and heritage. 

I loved my Mee Maw’s Mississippi Mud Cake. Marshmallows, nuts, chocolate…what’s not to love? Well, Aunt Pam loved it too. She may have even loved it more than me. I remember how happy and excited we both were when that Mississippi Mud Cake came to town. 

Hauling hay was just something we all helped Pee Paw to do. One day, we stacked a bunch of hay bales on a trailer. I sat on top, and I think Cousin Dustin was sitting up there with me too. The trailer was being pulled across the pasture by a tractor. We made it all the way to the gate, and then suddenly all the hay started tumbling down. I was tumbling too. I was buried in hay until Dustin pulled me out. Guess who was driving the tractor? Aunt Pam!! She drove over a big hole, and the the trailer tipped. We have joked about it some over the years, and we both laugh. 

I remember Aunt Pam’s apple trees in the  backyard. They were good trees to climb. She never minded that I would play around at her house. I enjoyed playing basketball the most. She always offered me sweet tea to cool me down on a hot day. I remember the tea because I didn’t like it at all, but I drank it anyway. 

As life moved on, Aunt Pam became more interested in history. I loved hearing stories about our family. I though it was pretty cool that Aunt Pam researched and shared her findings with our family. 

Pam will truly be missed.  My favorite memories of Pam would be head Cheerleader at East.  She had so much School Spirit. If All American awards at that time, I know she would have been chosen.  Pam always had a beautiful smile and positive attitude.  She was even Smiling when she was on top of Empire State Bldg  after learning Danny got a new Harley. She was so much fun. Know that you all are in my thoughts and Prayers

I belong to a family of wise wonderful women, the kind who speak their minds, give from their hearts, and are true to what they believe.
Pam was a strong, amazing woman and big sister.

She worked selflessly to help others with their lineages and was a valuable member of John Wade Keyes Daughter of the American Revolution and of the Colonel Walter Aston Colonial Dames of 17th Century.  Shy but always working in the background for the betterment of our societies and of our city!  Her family lineage extended back to,  at least 2, of our early Limestone County citizens - the Hightowers and the  Westmorelands.  Some of her ancestors settled in Giles Co, TN before coming down into Limestone Co.  Many of her ancestors were from the Colony of Virginia.  She proved 19 American Revolutionary patriots to the high DAR standards.
